No Town Engineer in Los Gatos

Kevin Rohani resigned effective Dec. 27, 2013 to accept a position as city engineer and director of public works for the City of Oakley.

Town engineer Kevin Rohani, who served as assistant director to the Parks and Public Works Department, resigned from his duties effective Dec. 27.

An email to town staff at the beginning of January inquiring about Rohani's resignation was answered with little details, simply stating the position has not been filled and there is no current estimate as to when a new hire will take place.

Rohani served for many years under the leadership of Todd Capurso, who worked as director of Los Gatos' Parks and Public Works Department and resigned in June of 2013 to accept a similar position in Campbell.

Capurso was replaced this past December by former San Jose's Deputy Director of Public Works Matt Morley.

It took the town five months to find a replacement for Capurso.

A look on the LinkedIn social networking website for professionals, shows Rohani is now director of public works and the city engineer for the City of Oakley.

PPW is responsible for maintaining the town's public parks, facilities and infrastructure and the department is comprised of six organizational units:  Administration, engineering and capital projects, park services, environmental services, facilities and streets and signals.
