Los Gatos Holiday Carriage Rides Start Friday!

Los Gatos Chamber of Commerce begins festive tradition the evening of Friday, Nov. 29, 2013.

The Los Gatos Holiday Carriage Rides begin tomorrow at 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 29 through Monday, Dec. 23 at the southwest corner of Town Plaza Park, corner of West Main Street and Santa Cruz Avenue, in downtown Los Gatos.

Group package for the 15-minute rides is $100 for six people, four adults maximum; the sweetheart carriage is $85 and includes a private, romantic ride for two adults only and individual tickets are $25 for ages 11 and up, $10 for ages 3 to 10 and free to toddlers (under 3 years old) on lap.

The rides are a South Bay holiday tradition in downtown Los Gatos and help participants feel the romance of Christmas past.

The carriages are elegant with stately drivers and horses wearing holiday bells. The tinkling of the bells as carriages ride through town brings a festive spirit, according to the event's info posted on the Los Gatos Chamber of Commerce's website.

The rides take passengers through the town's beautiful historic Almond Grove district and festively decorated North Santa Cruz Avenue.
