Ground Broken For New Los Gatos Medical Building

Palo Alto Medical Foundation to build center at corner of Los Gatos Boulevard and Gateway Drive.

The Palo Alto Medical Foundation broke ground this week on its new medical center at 15400 Los Gatos Blvd. in Los Gatos.

Los Gatos Mayor Barbara Spector congratulated on Monday the medical group and noted that the town is fast becoming the center for medical care in the West Valley.


PAMF Regional President Dr. Elizabeth Vilardo told the group of 100 attendees that medical group is growing its services in Los Gatos to meet current and forecasted demand for primary and specialty medical care in the South Bay.

PAMF is working with Sand Hill Properties to construct a 40,000-square-foot medical center to house 40 physicians and a range of services, including:

  • Adult primary care: Internal Medicine and Family Medicine
  • Pediatrics
  • Urgent Care Center
  • Diagnostic imaging: Ultrasound and X-Ray
  • Radiology
  • Laboratory services

 

The project's architect is Hawley Peterson Snyder and the construction company is WL Butler.

This new center is expected to open in late 2015.

Among those in attendance were Paul Beaupre, CEO Good Samaritan Hospita; Mike Fox, philanthropist; Jordan Herget, COO Good Samaritan Hospital; Greg Larson, Los Gatos town manager, Ronee Nassi, executive director of the Los Gatos Chamber of Commerce; Tomi Ryba, CEO El Camino Hospital; Curtis Snyder, principal of Hawley Peterson Snyder Architecture; and Frank York, president of Butler Construction.

PAMF is also leasing 9,000 square feet at 15720 Winchester Blvd. for another medical clinic in Los Gatos.

This second property will house specialties, ob-gyns and other primary care physicians, as well as radiology and ultrasound services.

An interior build out of this space is underway; the center is expected to be completed by early 2014.

PAMF opened its first clinics in Los Gatos in April 2012 and currently leases several physician offices for 30 physicians on Samaritan Drive, in the Good Samaritan Medical Center complex.

PAMF also has a fertility practice with a laboratory and a two-room surgical suite on Samaritan Drive.

PAMF is the first Sutter Health affiliate in the Los Gatos/West San Jose area.

The Sutter Health network of care includes many of California’s top-performing, highest quality physician organizations as measured annually by the Integrated Healthcare Association.

PAMF's 1,400 affiliated physicians and 3,400 employees serve more than 800,000 patients at its medical centers and clinics in Alameda, San Mateo, Santa Clara and Santa Cruz counties.
