I am a native of the peninsula and south bay area. I grew up and attended school in Los Altos and Mountain View. My college education was at Pacific Union College in Angwin, CA. I practiced medicine and surgery for 19 years before entering the private sector of medical device development and Healthcare recruiting. I have one daughter who recently graduated from the University of California Santa Barbara. My great aunt lived on Edelen Ave. in Los Gatos, my positive memories led me back, so I moved into the town after completing my education and starting my career. I have many passions and pursuits including writing, mountain biking, windsurfing, weight lifting and more. My parents still live in the home where I grew up in Los Altos. I am an expert in health and fitness. I have evaluated, operated upon and advised many world class athletes regarding their fitness regimes. One of my mentors was a member of the pioneers of Ultramarathoners. I have been the director of weight loss clinics for morbidly obese patients, studied the psychology and dynamics of persons who experienced refractory weight gain and advised groups of diabetics upon how best to mitigate the consequences of their conditions. My goal is to provide information to assist individuals in their pursuit of health, while avoiding dependency upon the perverse and corrupt pharmaceutical industry.
