REUSABLE BAG ORDINANCE RETAILER INFO MEETING

The Town of Los Gatos will be holding retailer information meeting on the proposed reusable bag ordinance at 8:30 a.m. Thursday, June 13 at the Chamber of Commerce office, 10 Station Way. LOS GATOS GENERAL PLAN COMMITTEE MEETING

The Los Gatos General Plan Committee meets at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 12 at the Los Gatos Adult Recreation Center, 208 E. Main St., room 208. The committee advises the Los Gatos Town Council, Planning Commission, and staff on matters relating to the General Plan and policy documents that implement the General Plan. LOS GATOS UNION SCHOOL DISTRICT BOARD OF TRUSTEES MEETING

The Los Gatos Union School District Board of Trustees meets at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 11 at the Thomas P. O’Donnell district office board room to discuss the organization's upcoming 150th anniversary celebration that begins Monday, Sept. 23, adoption of its 2013-14 budget, among other topics. LOS GATOS-SARATOGA UNION HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT SUMMER SCHOOL

The registration packet for summer school 2013 is now available. Summer school will run from June 17 to July 26 and will be for purposes of remediation. Details: Dave Denight, ddenight@lgsuhsd.org, or 408-402-6308.

LOS GATOS/MONTE SERENO POLICE EXPLORER PROGRAM SEEKS APPLICANTS

Youth ages 14-21 are encouraged to apply for the Los Gatos/Monte Sereno Police Explorer program this summer. The post has been serving the community for over a quarter century. The program is affiliated with the Boy Scouts of America's Learning for Life Program and the Los Gatos/Monte Sereno Police Department. Explorer requirements include teens having graduated from the eighth grade, maintaining a 2.8 grade-point average; having had no contacts with law enforcement that would adversely affect the position and having a desire to serve the community and learn about law enforcement.
