Get out your curling irons and hot rollers! The Veronica Lake iconic influence is all over the press, from runways to celebrity award shows, to the latest cinematography masters like The Great Gatsby, and Downton Abbey. This smooth, controlled, severely parted wave is for everyone! From short hair to long hair, catch the Wave! You will need hair clips, a 1.5 inch barrel iron, a root lift (I recommend Styling Mousse by Neuma), a spray wax (Details by Eufora), and a Blow dry lotion(Neuma). Mousse roots, melange mousse and blow dry spray for mid shaft and ends, blow dry smooth. Then set rollers or use iron in one inch sections alternating forward and backwards each vertical section. Part the hair severly on oneside and take front first section of parted hair comb back, then roll forward. This will create the sexy eye covering wave in front. Once fully cooled, lightly brush hair, holding your hand and pushing up each wave and pin at bottom of each wave. Then spray hair lightly with details wax, and then pat down any fly away hairs. Make sure ends of hair are curled under. Remove pins then give a final spray of working hairspray( I like Alterna Caviar), which is a hairspray you can touch but gives memory to the hair so it stays smooth and protected from humidity. The final touch is a shine spray(Illuminate mist by Neuma) works great, it's light, uv protective and lots of amazing shine. Voila! You have a fabulous Holiday look. For a variety of style, faux bob it for the short Gatsby wave. After styling as described above pull hair into a low ponytail and rubber band the hair at shoulder length. Then tuck under and pin at chin length in back, and you will be Gatsbied up!
