Wildcats Prepare for CCS Title Game

Los Gatos High football team will face Pioneer High School's Mustangs Saturday at 7 p.m. at Westmont High School.

The Los Gatos High School Wildcats beat the Aragon High School Dons last Friday evening and will now play in the CCS Division II championship game against the Pioneer High School Mustangs at 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3 at Westmont High School, 4805 Westmont Ave., in Campbell.

The Wildcats beat the Dons at Helm Field by a 39-6 score.

According to Los Gatos High School head football coach Butch Cattolico, the Cats' impressive performance this season, "tells the story of a group of boys that has worked together, and through this season has really become exactly a team ... on defense and on offense. They have really grown, and all of the coaching staff have seen it over the last several months."

The Wildcats' standing is 10-1-1 and the Mustangs' standing is 9-3.

The Mustangs played against South San Francisco High School in the semifinals last week and won by a 28-7 score.
