Annual University Guide Rates Local School

UC Santa Cruz is one of 28 California schools included in the 2013 rendition of the Fiske Guide to Colleges.

There are more than 2,200 four-year colleges in the United States; Fiske gives a systematic look at more than 300 schools in the U.S., Canada and Great Britain.

UC Santa Cruz was among the 28 California schools analyzed in the guide. The guide said students "come to UCSC to do their own thing" but students are more conventional than they used to be.
