What to Expect From Tonight's Town Council Meeting

Los Gatos Boulevard homes and Creekside Youth Sports Park are on the agenda, among other topics.

The Los Gatos Town Council, which also serves as the Parking Authority and Redevelopment Agency, will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at Town Council Chambers, 110 E. Main St.

On the consent agenda, which allows the five-member body to approve several items with one vote and without public comment, are:

  • Approve an arts plan as recommended by the Los Gatos Arts and Culture Commission.
  • Authorize Town Manager Greg Larson to proceed with explorations of the lease or sale of town properties.
  • Adopt a resolution authorizing Larson to execute the fiscal year 2011-12 Community Development Block Grant City-County contract with the County of Santa Clara.
  • Authorize Larson to execute a fourth amendment to the agreement between the Town of Los Gatos and the City of Campbell through June 30, 2013 to provide services for underground utility locating requests.
  • Authorize Larson to executive a construction contract with Midstate Barrier Inc., in an amount not to exceed $175,389 for the University Avenue guardrail peplacement project.
  • Consider a request for approval to allow property owner Sue Farwell the ability to have a The establishment would be operated by Lisa Rhorer and Pat Romano.

On the public hearing portion of the agenda, which allows concerned residents three minutes to speak on any issue, are the following items:

  • Consider approval of a planned development to rezone property located at 16213 Los Gatos Blvd., to demolish the existing auto dealership buildings and The property owner is Margaret R. Bishop and the applicant is the Santa Clara Development Company.
  • Review and approve the direct staff to explore options for providing pedestrian sidewalk access to the area from Lark Avenue to the facility's entrance on University Avenue and direct staff to explore alternative alignments for the bridge connection between the Los Gatos Creek Trail and the park.
