What to Expect From Tonight's Town Council Meeting

End-of-year commendations will be presented to several town volunteers for serving on various boards, commissions and committees.

The Los Gatos Town Council, which also serves as the Parking Authority and Redevelopment Agency, will meet at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 17, at Town Council Chambers, 110 E. Main St.

Here's what you can expect:

Los Gatos board, commission and committee end-of-term commendations for members of the Arts and Cultural Commission, Building Board of Appeals, Community and Senior Services Commission, General Plan Committee, Parks Commission, Personnel Board and Planning Commission.

On the consent agenda, which begins at 7 p.m.

roof project. Authorize Town Manager Greg Larson to execute a construction contract with Waterproofing Associates in an amount not to exceed $66,888.

Accept the work of Mission Way Partners, LLC, which built a tie-in paving, curb, gutter, sidewalk and ADA access ramp to connect a new private street to existing public improvements at The Preserve at Ross Creek, located at 15881 Linda Ave.

Contractual custodial services for town facilities with Sunnyvale Building Maintenance for fiscal year 2011-12 in an amount not to exceed $70,000; and authorize Town Manager Greg Larson to execute a contract for fiscal year 2012-13 in an amount not to exceed $150,000 a year, pending final approval of the operational budget.

On the public hearing portion of the agenda, which allows concerned residents three minutes to speak on any issue:

Planned development application and negative declaration for the renovation and expansion of the existing apartment complext called , 135 Riviera Drive. Plans call for building 50 new units. Of those, 25 will be affordable dwellings, 24 for low-income to moderate-income earners. The developer of the project is The Sobrato Organization.
