Updated: President Obama, Mitt Romney in Bay Area Today

In his third trip in three months, the president continues to court the fundraising dollars in Silicon Valley.

If you missed President Barack Obama's visit through , cross your fingers—he may land at the local airfield on his next visit.

KCBS reported that Obama might return to the Bay Area for another fundraising trip on July 23. Pesident Obama will be hosting a fundraiser at the Fox Theater in Oakland.

Because President Obama has a majority of the Bay Area's support, this visit will be more for fundraising than campaigning.

During his last trip on June 6—he arrived and departed from SFO—the president raised $2 million; later that week media outlets reported that Republican presidential candiate Mitt Romney out-fundraised Obama $76 million to $60 million in the month of May.

Updated: 2 p.m., Sunday, July 22: President Obama and rival Mitt Romney are both scheduled to be in the Bay Area today.

President Obama, who was originally scheduled to arrive in the Bay Area on Monday, will fly into San Francisco International Airport at around 7:15 p.m. tonight, according to the White House Press Office.

The President will be stopping in Aurora, CO to visit with victims of a mass shooting that took place at a movie theater over the weekend.

On Monday evening, he is scheduled to attend fundraising events at Oakland's Fox Theater and later at a private home in Piedmont.

Romney is attending three Bay Area fundraisers today.

The presumptive Republican candidate for president is scheduled to attend a private lunch in Woodside, followed by a reception at San Francisco's Fairmont Hotel and a dinner at a home in Pacific Heights.
