Los Gatos Invited to Celebrate Park Ranger Dave Gray's Retirement Tonight

Popular town employee moving to Oregon after serving the community for nearly 30 years.

The Town of Los Gatos is inviting the community to celebrate the retirement of longtime park ranger Dave Gray at 3:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 6 at Oak Meadow Park, 233 Blossom Hill Rd.

According to Amber Pinkerton, one of the organizers of the party, Gray retires Monday, Sept. 9 after serving the Town of Los Gatos for 27 years.

Pinkerton sent us the flier accompanying this post inviting the community to Gray's goodbye party, which will be a BBQ potluck held at the park's picnic area by the Billy Jones Railroad.

A suggested donation of $5 minimum is recommended for those who attend, or a contribution to a gift for Gray.

Pinkerton said Gray and wife are moving to Oregon at the end of the month to spend more time with family.

Gray began his service with the Town of Los Gatos in 1986 and he's performed a variety of duties throughout the years, from issuing citations to townsfolk for various code violations to recently enforcing its dog leash ordinance.

Pinkerson will replace Gray. She's been serving as as a seasonal park service officer.
