Leaf Blowers on Los Gatos Town Council's Agenda Tonight

Study session begins at 6 p.m. at 110 E. Main St. followed by regular meeting at 7 p.m.

Then, at 7 p.m., the Council will convene its regular meeting to consider the following on its consent agenda, which allows the five-member body to approve items with one vote:

  • Adopt an ordinance adding a new section XII to Chapter 14 to the town code titled "Firearms Dealers - Sale of Firearms and Ammunition" to require a permit process for the sale of firearms, ammunition, and/or explosive devices.
  • Authorize Town Manager Greg Larson to execute a lease agreement with the Friends of the Library for a portion of the former library space at the Civic Center.
  • Various Parks and Public Works Department projects

  • Property owner Michael Black and applicant Tony Jeans/THIS Design request the rezoning of two properties located at 234 and 236 Los Gatos Blvd. from office zone to downtown residential zone.
  • Amendment to Council agenda format and rule policy to establish timelines for submission of information for and distribution of agenda packets, addendums and desk items for Council meetings.
  • Annual renewal of agreement for services with the Los Gatos Chamber of Commerce to manage the town’s Information Center and coordinate the Leadership Los Gatos Program. This item is continued from the June 17, 2013 meeting.
  • Adoption of a revised height pole and netting policy
