Three 'Daytime Ransack Burglars' Arrested by Los Gatos Police

More than four months after allegedly committing the crime, three men are in custody awaiting court trial, police say.

Three men have been arrested by Los Gatos/Monte Sereno police following a burglary they're alleged to have committed the morning of June 17, 2013 on Highland Oaks Drive.

The suspects, identified as Oscar Campos, 21; Lizardo Burgara, 19; and Esteban Fuentes, 20, were taken into custody more than four months after police say they "ransacked" the residence taking various amounts of jewelry, home electronics and firearms.

Campos was arrested on Oct. 23, Fuentes was arrested on Oct. 24 and Burgara was already in custody, police said.

The men, all from San Jose, are believed to have ties to local organized street gangs. At the time the crime was committed, they fled the scene in an unknown vehicle which necessitated police canvass the neighborhood and initiate pursuit.

As a result of the follow-up investigation into the crime and execution of search warrants, the men have been charged with the crime, police said in a press release.

The men are awaiting preliminary court proceedings, police said.

The investigation into the case is ongoing and anyone with information about the crime is asked to contact the LGMSPD at 408-354-8600.
