Sheriff's Arrests: Caretakers Arrested, Charged With Severely Neglecting Dependent Adults

A look at the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office's arrest and booking reports for July 16-17, 2012. The following arrest information does not indicate a conviction.

Inflicting Corporal Injury on Child

  • Christopher Thornton, 35, of Milpitas, July 17, 12:15 a.m., at Penitencia Street in Milpitas, for a felony involving willfully inflicting corporal injury upon a child. 

Parole Hold

  • Robert Ambris, 42, of Campbell, July 16, 3 p.m., at Bascom Avenue and Southwest Expressway in San Jose, for a parole hold. 
  • Edwin Bravorosales, 23, of Morgan Hill, July 17, 2 a.m., at Crest and Wright avenues in Morgan Hill, for parole hold. 

Fighting

  • Hugo Banda, 33, of Mountain View, July 16, 3:05 p.m., at Grant Avenue in Palo Alto, for fighting or challenging to fight someone in a public place. 

Vehicle Code Violations 

  • Jessie Delancegrant, 40, July 16, 2:15 p.m., at Diana Avenue and Butterfield Boulevard in Morgan Hill, for driving while unlicensed. 
  • Jessie Valdezrobles, 24, of Morgan Hill, July 16, 8:35 p.m., at West Younger Avenue in San Jose, for driving with privileges suspended or revoked. Bail set at $6,000. 
  • Jose Hernandez, 46, of Saratoga, July 11, 5:15 p.m., at Prospect Road and Lawrence Expressway in Saratoga, for two citations involving driving with privileges suspended or revoked and for disobeying a traffic signal. 

Disorderly Conduct

  • Eduardo Farrington, 34, of San Jose, July 16, 5:13 p.m., at Homestead Road in Cupertino, for disorderly conduct, soliciting lewd act. 

Theft

  • Batool Ayyoub, 20, of Santa Clara, July 16, 4:55 p.m., at North Wolfe Road in Cupertino, for petty theft of personal property. 

Dependent Elder Abuse

  • Jennifer Ngo, 61, of San Jose, July 16, 11:25 a.m., at 190 West Hedding St. in San Jose, for ; for resisting, delaying or obstructing a peace officer; and two misdemeanor counts of failing to give proper care and attention to an animal. Bail set at $500,000. 
  • Charles Nguyen, 25, of San Jose, July 16, 11:25 a.m., at 190 West Hedding St. in San Jose,  for 14 counts of felony elder abuse likely to produce great bodily harm or death, or willfully causing or permitting any elder or dependent adult, with knowledge of the elder’s condition, to suffer or inflict unjustifiable physical pain or mental suffering; for resisting, delaying or obstructing a peace officer; and two misdemeanor counts of failing to give proper care and attention to an animal. Bail set at $500,000. 
  • George Nguyen, 72, of San Jose, July 16, 11:10 a.m., at 190 West Hedding St. in San Jose, for 14 felony counts of elder abuse likely to produce great bodily harm or death, or willfully causing or permitting any elder or dependent adult, with knowledge of the elder’s condition, to suffer or inflict unjustifiable physical pain or mental suffering; and two misdemeanor counts of failing to give proper care and attention to an animal. Bail set at $500,000. 
  • Margaret Ngo, 27, of San Jose, July 16, 2:32 p.m., at 190 West Hedding St. in San Jose, for for 14 felony counts of elder abuse likely to produce great bodily harm or death, or willfully causing or permitting any elder or dependent adult, with knowledge of the elder’s condition, to suffer or inflict unjustifiable physical pain or mental suffering; for two misdemeanor counts involving resisting, delaying or obstructing a peace officer; and two counts of failing to give proper care and attention to an animal. Bail set at $500,000.

I just emailed Sgt. Stephen Walpole, but he's on vacation until June 20. I last reported on a rapeRead More at the Los Gatos Lodge in March, but Sgt. Harris back then said the department's records unit need time to research just how many of these sex crimes had been reported to police. I'll check with the district.
