Police Log: Motorist Strikes Cyclist, Dog Bites Child, Homeless Couple Fight

The following crime information was provided by the Los Gatos-Monte Sereno Police Department. The incidents are for the period of Aug. 31-Sept. 3, 2013.

Warrant Service: 2:50 a.m. Aug. 31 at Lark Avenue and Winchester Boulevard
Vandalism: 8:45 a.m. Aug. 31 on Howes Drive, during the hours of darkness, unknown suspects vandalized multiple vehicles by slashing their tires.
Commercial Burglary: 11:54 a.m. Aug. 31 at 50 University Ave.
Minor Injury Accident: 2:46 p.m. Aug. 31 at Los Gatos High School, a vehicle vs. bicyclist accident occurred with the bicyclist suffering a minor scrape.
Volunteer Hold: 3:34 a.m. Sept. 1 on North Santa Cruz Avenue
Missing Juvenile: 2:57 a.m. Sept. 1 on Long Ridge Road
Animal Bite: 10:27 a.m. Sept. 1 on Milbrae Lane, a child was bitten by a dog
Assault/Domestic Violence: 3:06 p.m. Sept. 1 on Garden Hill Drive, a transient couple living together were involved in a physical altercation in which the victim suffered a minor injury. The 59-year-old female partner was arrested and booked into Santa Clara County Jail.
DUI: 10:01 a.m. Sept. 1 at Los Gatos-Saratoga Road and northbound Highway 17, a 62-year-old man was arrested and booked into Santa Clara County Jail for DUI.
Possession: 12:02 a.m. Sept. 2 at No. Santa Cruz Avenue and Los Gatos-Saratoga Road, a 44-year-old man was arrested and booked into Santa Clara County Jail for parole violation and being in possession of methamphetamine and hypodermic needles in his residence.
Residential Burglary: 10:58 a.m. Sept. 2 on Mireval Road, suspect(s) broke through a door and took a small amount of jewelry.
Court Violation: 11:36 a.m. Sept. 2 on Rose Avenue in Monte Sereno, a child's father failed to return the youth to the mother at the designated time.
Grand Theft: 7:50 a.m. Sept. 3 on Mountain Laurel Lane, a suspect dismantled and took solar panels from the victim's property.
Found Property: 10:36 a.m. Sept. 3 on Pennsylvania Avenue, an abandoned bike was reported to police.
Vandalism: 12:28 p.m. Sept. 3 at 15450 Los Gatos Blvd., the AAA business had a window vandalized.
Identity Theft: 12:58 p.m. Sept. 3 on Alberto Way
Commercial Burglary: 4:30 p.m. Sept. 3 on East Main Street
Commercial Burglary: 5:46 p.m. Sept. 3 on North Santa Cruz Avenue, an unknown suspect entered a restaurant and stole cash.
Vehicle Recovery: 7:53 p.m. Sept. 3 on Granada Way, a stolen vehicle was recovered and towed after dispatch was unable to locate its owner.
Possession: 9:12 p.m. Sept. 3 at the Los Gatos Police Operations Building, 15900 Los Gatos Blvd., a 22-year-old man was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and being under the influence of a controlled substance.
