Police Log: Man Caught With Pants Down, Citizen Arrest For Theft

The following crime information was provided by the Los Gatos-Monte Sereno Police Department. The incidents are for the period of Sept. 15-18, 2013.

Vehicle Tow: 12:35 a.m. Sept. 15 at 145 W. Main St.
Court Order Violation/Domestic Violence: 8:15 a.m. Sept. 15 on Withey Road, a man with multiple domestic violence restraining orders was arrested for violating court terms related to the restrictions.
Mental Health: 10:07 a.m. Sept. 15 on Cherry Hill Court, a man was taken into custody and placed on a 72-hour hold for evaluation and treatment after being found with his pants down and tampering with a residential water supply.
Barking Dogs: 10 a.m. Sept. 15 on Foster Road, a woman complained that her neighbor's dogs bark frequently and loudly, causing a nuisance. She made a formal complaint.
Petty Theft: 3:49 p.m. Sept. 15 at 15980 Los Gatos Blvd., a woman was contacted and placed under citizen's arrest for petty theft. She was then cited and released at the scene with a written promise to appear.
Found Property: 7:12 p.m. Sept. 15 on Johnson Avenue, a purse was found on the sidewalk containing cash and credit cards. It was turned over to the police.
Possession: 12:47 a.m. Sept. 16 at National and Carlton avenues, a 46-year-old woman was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.
Property Damage Accident: 10:53 a.m. Sept. 16 at Los Gatos-Saratoga Road and Massol Avenue, a blue Toyota and a semi truck were involved in an accident. The parties refused medical treatment.
Warrant Service: 3:52 p.m. Sept. 16 at University Avenue and Royce Street
Grand Theft: 10:02 a.m. Sept. 17 on Karen Court, a man reported that between July 1 and July 6, unknown suspect(s) stole his vehicle's front plate.
Vehicle Code Violation: 11:47 a.m. Sept. 17 on Los Gatos-Saratoga Road, a woman was cited and released for driving with a suspended license.
Counterfeit: 12:49 p.m. Sept. 17 on Royce Street, a suspect sent the victim a counterfeit check.
Abandoned Vehicle: 5:05 p.m. Sept. 12 on Madrone Avenue
Attempted Residential Burglary: 4:08 p.m. Sept. 17 on Santa Rosa Avenue, an unknown suspect pulled the screen from a home's downstairs bathroom window possibly setting off the alarm. The screen was found bent and partially re-installed backwards.
Missing Adult: 12:45 p.m. Sept. 17 on W. Parr Avenue, an elderly man was reported missing, but was found at 2:45 a.m. Sept. 18.
Commercial Burglary: 6:56 p.m. Sept. 17 on Pollard Road, two suspects entered a store and took hair products.
Possession: 12:44 a.m. Sept. 18 at University Avenue and Andrews Street, a 21-year-old man was arrested and booked into Santa Clara County Jail after being stopped for a vehicle code violation and being found to be under the influence of a stimulant and in possession of methamphetamine.
Found Property: 9:20 a.m. Sept. 18 at 41 Miles Ave., two bikes were left at the Los Gatos Public Works yard and were booked into evidence.
Abandoned Vehicle: 2:27 p.m. Sept. 14 at Blossom Hill Road and Los Gatos Boulevard
Warrant Service: 10:24 p.m. Sept. 18 at Los Gatos Boulevard and Samaritan Drive, a 28-year-old woman was arrested due to an outstanding Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office warrant.
