On-Duty Santa Clara County Sheriff's Deputy Involved in Two-Car Wreck

Tuesday afternoon accident sends deputy and female driver to hospital.

A Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office deputy was injured after a two-car collision in San Jose Tuesday afternoon, a sheriff's sergeant said.

At about 4:25 p.m., an on-duty sheriff's office deputy, whose name is being withheld, collided with a red Honda Accord in the area of Blossom Hill Road and Winfield Boulevard, Sgt. Jose Cardoza said.

The male deputy and the driver of the Accord, a female, were both transported to a hospital to be treated for minor injuries, Cardoza said.

It is unknown who is at fault for the accident, the sergeant said. San Jose police are investigating the collision, Cardoza said.

Glad to hear no bodily harm of consequence happened. Even the mayor of San Jose just got a ticket, grin and bear it if that's the case with either party.

Sometimes it happens a lot especially with the Speed Car chases.....even involves innocent people.
