Los Gatos Transient Back in the News

Homeless man was arrested by local cops on similar drug charges last year.

A Los Gatos homeless man is back in the news after he was arrested earlier this month by Santa Clara County sheriff's deputies for several drug-related violations.

Daniel Todd, 44, was taken into custody at 3:25 p.m. May 7 at Santa Clara County Superior Court Drug Division, 115 Terraine St. in San Jose.

He's been charged with two misdemeanor health and safety code violations related to using/being under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance and paraphernalia.

Todd also faces three felony possession of narcotics, controlled substance charges.

Los Gatos/Monte Sereno police Sgt. spokesman Clinton Tada said records indicate that the local department had prior contact with Todd in a June 2012 arrest for illegal felony narcotics possession, drug paraphernalia and being under the influence.
