Los Gatos Sex Offenders Online

Want to know where these criminals live in your neighborhood?

Ever wonder if your neighbors are secretly not so friendly?

The sex offender registry is public record, and new neighbors are legally supposed to announce themselves as sex offenders if they've been convicted. But that transparency can be hard to come by — unless you know about CrimeReports.com, or the California Attorney General's Megan's Law website.

The websites are a great resource for local crime data and information on registered sex offenders in California.

The public and police departments use them to show the community where crimes are taking place and where offenders live and their identities.

But even in places outside local police departments' jurisdictions, the websites have mapped the addresses, names and photos of sex offenders in the entire country.

The criminals are marked on the CrimeReports.com map with red triangles. Orange triangles symbolize two sex offenders living at one address. Click on the triangles to see details on the offenders.

In Los Gatos, the Megan's Law website shows a total of 25 sex offenders, nine in the 95030 zip code, seven in the 95032 zip code and nine in the 95033 zip code. None are shown in Monte Sereno.

The offenders in the 95033 zip code live in unincorporated Santa Clara County, or unincorporated Santa Cruz County, with a Los Gatos mailing address, so not within Town of Los Gatos boundaries.

Do you worry about your neighbors? Are you surprised to see how many sex offenders are in Los Gatos? Did you think there would be more? Tell us in the comments!

Editor's Note: This story has been revised. Its original version failed to include sex offenders residing in the 95033 zip code. That information has now been added.
