Los Gatos Police Blotter, March 7-10: Drunk Motorist Driving on Bare Rim

The following arrest information was provided by the Los Gatos-Monte Sereno Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Vandalism

  • An online report of vandalism was made at 11:57 a.m. March 7 on Los Robles Way.
  • A citizen reported a vehicle vandalism at 10:39 a.m. March 8 on Belglen Way.
  • A vehicle was reported vandalized and scratched at 5:52 p.m. March 8 at 20 High School Court.
  • An online report of vandalism was made at 9:52 a.m. March 8 on Belvue Drive.

Court Order Violation

  • Nicole Lacroix, 31, 7:09 a.m. March 8, on Vasona Avenue, was arrested and booked into Santa Clara County Jail for violation of a court order.

Booted Vehicle

  • A vehicle was booted at 1:39 p.m. March 8 at 175 Los Gatos Boulevard, between Loma Alta Avenue and Stacia Street.

Vehicle Code Violation

  • A BMW driver was cited and released for driving on a suspended license and displaying false tabs at 2:08 p.m. March 8 on Los Gatos Boulevard.
  • A citizen was cited and released at 2:38 p.m. March 8 on Carlton Avenue for being under the influence of a stimulant.

  • A citizen reported an identity theft at 2:49 p.m. March 8 on Corinne Drive.

DUI

  • Betzy Uridia Garcia Jimenez, 21, 8:59 p.m. March 8 on Los Gatos Boulevard, was arrested and booked into Santa Clara County Jail on suspicion of DUI after driving a vehicle with front-end damage, including a flat front tire that was being driven on the bare rim.
  • Gretchen Johanna Atherton, 50, 12:22 a.m. March 9, at Los Gatos Boulevard and Los Gatos-Almaden Road, was arrested and booked into Santa Clara County Jail on suspicion of DUI.
  • Michael Edward Villalta, 45, 12:52 a.m. March 9, on Lexington Drive and Los Gatos-Saratoga Road, on suspicion of DUI.
  • Steven Jackson Gibbons, 47, 12:44 a.m. March 10, on Station Way and Elm Street, was arrested and booked into Santa Clara County Jail on suspicion of DUI.

Vehicle Tow

  • A vehicle was towed for having registration expired six months ago at 7:28 a.m. March 9 on Forrest Hill Drive. The license plates didn't match the vehicle and they were removed prior to towing. The plates were booked into evident to be sent to the DMV.

Grand Theft

  • A citizen reported a bicycle was stolen from an open garage at 2:37 p.m. March 9 on Bacigalupi Drive.
  • A citizen's purse and wallet were stolen with the thief withdrawing $1,200 from the victim's bank account at 4:08 p.m. March 9 on No. Santa Cruz Avenue.
  • Two bicycles and a helmet were stolen from an athletic club's bike rack at 6:06 p.m. March 9 on Winchester Boulevard.
  • A laptop computer and a backpack were reported stolen from an unlocked car at 4:57 p.m. March 10 on Decatur Road. The laptop computer had geo locator software.

Resisting Arrest

  • Rondy Duvall Armstrong, 28, 3:39 a.m. March 10, on East Main Street, was arrested and booked into Santa Clara County Jail after attempting to flee on foot from officers after being stopped for a vehicle code violation. He was charged with resisting arrest and driving without a license.

Possession

  • Pedro Gezar Garcia, 38, 12:27 a.m. March 11, on Mattson Avenue, for possession of a controlled substance for purpose of sales, possession of narcotics paraphernalia and being under the influence of a controlled substance.

Petty Theft

  • An online report of petty theft was made at 12 p.m. March 9 on Newville Drive.

Auto Burglary

  • An online report of auto burglary was made at 3:57 p.m. March 8 on Blossom Hill Road.
