Grass Fire

• A grass fire occurred at 2:02 p.m. Aug. 24 at the junction of Highways 17 and 85 in Los Gatos. The cause is thought to be the result of discarded smoking material.

Camper or Recreational Vehicle Fire

• A fire in the mechanical and engine area ignited at 3:45 p.m. Aug. 25 on Highway 17 at Summit Road in Los Gatos. Property loss is estimated at $4,500, content loss, $1,000.

Passenger Vehicle Fire

• A engine fire started at 1:50 p.m. Aug 27 in a passenger car at Bella Vista Court in Saratoga. Estimated property loss is $2,000, content loss, $400.

Residential Kitchen Fire

• A fire from a smoldering drawer ignited at 4:31 p.m. Aug. 27 in a residence on Columbine Court in Saratoga. Property loss is estimated at $1,000, content loss, $100.The cause of the ignition was undetermined after investigation.
