DUI Crashes Keep Los Gatos Police Busy

A man and a woman are arrested and booked into Santa Clara County Jail after being involved in single-vehicle collisions believed to have been caused by excessive drinking of alcohol.

Two DUI accidents kept local cops busy early this month when a man and a woman, in two separate incidents, were involved in single-vehicle collisions believed to have been caused by excessive drinking of alcohol.

In the first incident, a 55-year-old man crashed his car shortly after 1 a.m. on Monday, July 1 at Almond Blossom and Sebastian courts in Los Gatos, according to police.

After being stopped by officers and being suspected of inebriation at the time of the wreck, he fled on foot and was located about half a mile away from the scene, police said.

In the second accident, a 53-year-old woman, also found to be driving under the influence of alcohol, crashed her car at Alberto Way and Los Gatos-Saratoga Road at 1:52 p.m. July 3, police said.

Both were arrested and booked into Santa Clara County Jail on suspicion of DUI.
