Multiple Los Gatos-Monte Sereno police units responded to the scene and found that the suspect, described as a white male adult, had left the premises, said Los Gatos-Monte Sereno Police Sgt. spokesman Kerry Harris.

Officers interviewed bank staff and learned that the suspect had presented a demand note and left the bank as soon as he had the goods, Harris said.

The suspect is being described as a white male adult in his 30s, with brown eyes and brown hair, wearing a black head cap, a white shirt, dark colored shorts, white socks and white tennis shoes, Harris said.

Police canvassed the area searching for the suspect and witnesses and one person reported seeing the suspect leave the bank on foot and flee into a residential neighborhood street behind the bank's shopping center.

He then entered a gold-colored Pontiac four-door sedan, likely either a 1999 or 2003 model Grand Prix or a Grand Am.

Investigators believe that the robber is the same one who has committed several other bank robberies in the area, Harris said.

Local police are working with other area law enforcement and the FBI to try to find the suspect, he said.

Police don't have a suspect sketch yet to release as of the time of this posting, but have a black-and-white print from the bank's security camera, which they will release Wednesday.
