Burglar Attacks Los Gatos Homeowner

Victim sustains a bloody nose and lacerations to the face during encounter with thief.

A burglar attacked a Los Gatos home break-in victim causing a bloody nose and lacerations to the face.

According to a Los Gatos-Monte Sereno police report, the burglar, identified as John Doe, 20, entered the occupied Leewood Court dwelling at 6:35 p.m. Oct. 29 through an unlocked rear sliding glass door.

Upon entry, the victim was battered causing him the injuries.

The burglar was arrested for unlawfully entering the home.

According to the California Penal Code, a first-degree burglary is punishable by imprisonment for two, four, or six years and a second-degree burglary could land those responsible in the Santa Clara County Jail for not more than one year.
