UPDATE: Bomb Squad Called Off; Streets Reopen in Los Gatos

Authorities found no explosives at a Panera Bread restaurant in Los Gatos this afternoon after two suspicious suitcases were reported there and traffic closures in the area have been lifted, Los Gatos-Monte police said. 

The Los Gatos-Monte Police Department was called at 3:51 p.m. today on a report about the suitcases seen outside the eatery at 15200 Los Gatos Blvd. near state Highway 17. 

Santa Clara County Sheriff's Department's bomb squad was called in to evaluate the suitcases and gave the all clear about an hour later, a police dispatcher said.

Police had closed Los Gatos Boulevard and Lark Avenue in all directions for several blocks around the incident, but those streets have now reopened, according to police.

Los Gatos-Monte police have called in the bomb squad to investigate at a Panera Bread restaurant after two suspicious suitcases were found, police said.

Police received a call at 3:51 p.m. after the suitcases were seen outside the eatery at 15200 Los Gatos Blvd. near state Highway 17.

The Santa Clara County Sheriff's Department's bomb squad is evaluating the suitcases, according to police.

Police have closed several blocks on Los Gatos Boulevard and along Lark Avenue in all directions and are diverting traffic.

The road closures are expected to remain in effect for about two hours, according to police.
