I love the night life, I love to boogie. Boogie all night, woman. Boogie on down.
If the dirge is the music of grief, then boogie-woogie is the music of joy.
There is music that makes you snap your fingers. Like LA Jazz ... cool and laid back.
Then there's music that makes you tap you toes, like swing ... hip and elegant.
And tonight, one of this country's great show bands will be as Mitch Woods and his Rocket 88s join us for Blue Wednesday.
For more than two decades, they have kept the rich heritage of American blues alive. They have been hailed by critics as, "as one of the brightest exponents of West Coast swing, Kansas City boogie-woogie and Chicago blues."
They call it "rock-a-boogie," you'll call it one terrific evening.
I'd tell you more, but ... I got to boogie.
Jazz tonight ... jazz tomorrow.
