Town Offices Closed on Veterans Day

Shut down also includes Los Gatos Public Library, the Los Gatos Monte Sereno Police Department's records office, and schools.

will close on Friday, Nov. 11 in honor of Veterans Day.

The closure, however, is not directly related to the federal holiday, but due to a voluntary unpaid furlough day employees chose to participate in, according to Los Gatos Assistant Town Manager Pamela Jacobs.

Town employees are taking 40 hours of unpaid furlough days this year as a cost-saving measure and Veterans Day was selected as one of the furlough days, as it is a holiday for most schools and other government entities, Jacobs added.
