Big Basin Vineyards Hosts November Release Party

This Friday evening, 7-9 p.m., meet the artist whose inspired paintings grace Big Basin labels .

Join winemaker Bradley Brown of Big Basin Vineyards for the much-anticipated November release pick-up weekend that begins Friday night, Nov. 16 at the Big Basin Vineyards Saratoga tasting room, 14598 Big Basin Way.

View the opening of the Matt Jones art exhibit, 7-9 p.m. on Friday. Jones is the creative genius behind the colorful and sensual Big Basin Vineyards wine labels.

The exhibit continues throughout the weekend Nov 17-18.

Come see the original paintings, some of which will be offered for sale, meet the artist, and purchase copies of his new book, Live 3D Performance Painter: Poems and Paintings.

A complimentary glass of wine will be provided and additional wines by the glass or bottle for consumption on site will be 30 percent off—all weekend!

Jones will have an additional outdoor exhibit of paintings that will be offered for sale throughout the weekend.

November release wines include:

  • 2010 Lester Family Vineyard Pinot Noir
  • 2009 Odeon Syrah/Cabernet
  • 2010 Paderewski Vineyard GSM

All of these wines recently received rave reviews from Antonio Galloni of Robert Parker Jr.'s Wine Advocate, including a 95-point score for the 2010 Paderewski Grenache-based blend, a voluptuous, dark cherry-filled beauty that will delight lovers of richly layered wines that explode on the palate.

Friends of the Vineyard receive a complimentary tasting.

How about a Big Basin Wine Tasting at the Saratoga History Museum sometime? The "Grizzly" and "Homestead" labels have much history behind them.
