Silicon Valley Open Studios Are Here!

Ever wish you could take a peek into an artist's studio?

Ever wish you could take a peek into an artist's studio? Or have you wanted to have a one-on-one conversation with an artist? Or have you ever hoped to find some terrific original art bargains? Well, you just might get your wish this weekend.

Saturday, May 21, and Sunday, May 22, is the 25th annual Silicon Valley Open Studios weekend in Los Gatos, Campbell, Cupertino, Gilroy, Milpitas, Monte Sereno, Morgan Hill, San Jose and Saratoga.

Hundreds of local artists will be opening their studios to the public, some for the first time. Many of the artists use this time to clear out some of their older (but still valuable) works to make room for more current projects. Prices can be especially attractive. There will be original art galore, refreshments and an opportunity to see some artists in action creating their work.

Several Los Gatos artists who are members of the Los Gatos Art Association will be participating. Look for the studios of David Stonesifer, Grace Tang, Maralyn Miller and Ed Lucey, for example.

It’s free, fun and a once-a-year chance to sneak a peek into an artist’s life and maybe get some original art for a song.
