Organizers of the 57th annual Los Gatos Children's Christmas and Holidays Parade are looking for nominations for the grand marshal position with the 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1 deadline to submit names fast approaching.
Do you know someone who has actively volunteered with youth activities in Los Gatos? Do you know someone who diligently serves young men and women in town week after week without seeking any kind of recognition?

Nominating them, which requires you to fill out the nomination form, is a great way to show appreciation for that special person's volunteer efforts, organizers said.
Nominating someone requires residents to provide the nominee's name, phone number and email address and summarize why they believe the person should be considered the grand marshal for the popular parade, scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 7.The person or group selected—last year the parade's grand marshals were Los Gatos Meats & Smokehouse owners John and Brian Chiala and daughter Jackie Rose—will have the ceremonial duties such as giving the command to start the parade entries rolling in downtown Los Gatos.
