Folk/Rock: Bev Barnett & Greg Newlon/Larry Murante at The Woodshed

Concert

An evening of energetic folk/rock, featuring Woodshed co-founders Bev Barnett & Greg Newlon and Seattle-based singer-songwriter Larry Murante.

Larry Murante won the John Lennon Songwriting Contest in 2009. His stories of everyday folks set to song combine compassionate, socially conscious lyrics in a joyful, energetic folk-rock style. He's engaging and direct on stage, with a powerful, authentic voice that brings his stories to life.

Bev Barnett and Greg Newlon jump the lines between acoustic, soul, and folk rock. They are known for their beautiful vocal blend and harmonies, intricate guitar  arrangements and hopeful lyrics. Featured on KGO's The Best Music Youv'e Never Heard in 2008, Ronn Owens simply remarked "Wow, that's smooth!"
