W.E. 'Bill' Mason Carousel

An artist's depiction of the old England-made merry-go-round that turned counter-clockwise at Oak Meadow Park.

This is an artist’s depiction of the W.E. "Bill" Mason Carousel in Oak Meadow Park.

An unknown student artist painted this as one of the panels from the footbridge spanning Highway 17 from Forbes Mill Museum to Old Town.

The original panels were painted in the mid 1990s. Many of them depict historic subjects in the history of the town. Being a British-made carousel, this machine turns clockwise, as opposed to American made carousels which turn counter-clockwise.
