Tree Branch Falls On Los Gatos Loma Alta Avenue Utility Pole

Workers from West Coast Arborists safely removed a large tree branch that fell Thursday afternoon on a utility pole at the intersection of Loma Alta Avenue and Los Gatos Boulevard.

The Town of Los Gatos hired the Stockton-based company to trim the giant Valley Oak tree on the west side of Loma Alta Avenue, said supervisor Juan Ortiz.

The workers began trimming the tree after 4 p.m. after the branch fell, Ortiz said.

Nobody was hurt and there were no power outages as a result, but traffic is blocked off at the intersection.

Los Gatos Monte Sereno Police parking control officer Terry Mullanix said the branch removal had gone as expected and he was diverting cars while the job was conducted.
