Wildcats Can Beat Vikings Tonight!

Come to Palo Alto tonight, Friday Oct. 19 and watch Los Gatos beat Palo Alto High School on the football field.

Tonight the Los Gatos Wildcats will travel to do battle with the Palo Alto Vikings during a game at 7 p.m. at their football field, 50 Embarcadero Rd. in Palo Alto.

When someone asked me why this is such a big rivalry, the answer was really simple. It just seems that for the last six or seven years every time these two teams meet, the winner will go on to win a championship, and I don't think this night will be any different.

Although the Cats, at one time, lead the series 13-1, Palo Alto has evened things up as of late, by splitting the last eight games. The series now stands at 17 to 5.

Since 2005, both teams have won several league, and CCS championships. The Cats would love to make it two in a row over the Vikings tonight.

It should be a great football game between two very talented teams. The Cats are currently tied for first place, undefeated in the league, but Palo Alto is right behind us with only one loss, so it is a big game for both squads.

If you can make it out to Palo Alto you will be treated to some quality football.

Thanks for all the support.

I used to sing this song to the Lincoln High School Lions before their games, which I adapted from the BYU Cougar Fight song ... yes, my kids and all around me were embarrassed, but I didn't care. Here's to you, LG Wildcats ...
Rise, all loyal Wildcats and hurl your challenge to the foe. You will fight, day or night, rain or snow. Loyal, Strong, and True Wear the Black and Orange. While we sing, get set to spring. Come on Wildcats, it's up to you! CHORUS: O Rise and Shout, the Wildcats are out Along the trail to fame and glory. Rise and shout, our cheers will ring out, As you unfold your vict'ry story. On you go to vanquish the foe For Alma Mater's sons and daughters. As we join in song, in praise of you, our faith is strong. We'll raise our colors high in the blue, And cheer the Wildcats of Los Gatos High! CHANT: "Ra, ra, ra, ra, ra (3x) GO WILDCATS!"

I just emailed Sgt. Stephen Walpole, but he's on vacation until June 20. I last reported on a rapeRead More at the Los Gatos Lodge in March, but Sgt. Harris back then said the department's records unit need time to research just how many of these sex crimes had been reported to police. I'll check with the district.
