Shuz of Los Gatos Moves to Opera House

Business has moved two blocks away from its previous location at corner North Santa Cruz Avenue and Main Street.

 has moved from its previous location at 1 No. Santa Cruz Ave., to the Opera House, 140 W. Main St., suite 1.

said he closed the previous location June 13 and opened the new one on June 14.

Riker explained his lease was up and he had been wanting a smaller location when he stumbled upon the Opera House place that he says better meets his needs.

"My customers love it. It's half the size of the old place. It's a very warm and inviting place and there's less of the hustle and bustle of the busy corner we were at," Riker said.

Shuz of Los Gatos has been in town since the mid '90s and has a loyal following of customers.

The store has four employees and carries so-called European comfort shoes, with prices from $100-$200 for a pair of women's shoes and $150-$300 for men's shoes.

Riker is also president and chief executive officer of Eurowalk Show Group, which owns all the Shuz stores in the Bay Area, including stores in Palo Alto, Davis, Danville and Rockridge.
