Manresa Opens to Stunning Interior

If you enjoy dining at , you’re going to love it even more with the addition of the restaurant’s classy, comfortable cocktail lounge.

At a private reception Monday evening, guests were invited to sip cocktails infused with layers of flavors and beautiful hues, and munch on delectable, savory treats while taking in the atmosphere created by the new lounge.

When I last visited Manresa to discuss the renovation with Chef David Kinch, the future lounge consisted of sheetrock, two-by-fours and other construction debris. What a transformation! The lounge has an expanse of comfy seating, a sleek bar and additional dining tables in a room brightened by a row of over-head windows and dazzling glass chandeliers.

Among two of the new delicious cocktails created by wine director Jeff Bareilles, Chef Kinch and his partner Michael Kean are the Humble Pie, a mixture of pisco, Yellow Chartreuse, ginger infusion and rhubarb consommé, which is made daily; and Santa Cruz 75 made with Osocalis Distillery Brandy (located in Soquel), Yellow Chartreuse, honey, fresh lemon juice and Diebolt Vallois Champagne.

The new cocktail lounge is a spectacular addition to Manresa. And with the talented Chef Kinch leading a professional and knowledgeable staff, which includes the charming maitre d' Esteban Garibay, the dining experience at this Los Gatos star will truly be, as Love Apple Farm owner Cynthia Sandberg said in a recent interview, “a magnificent, life-changing meal.”
