Besame, besame mucho ... yes, this tune was ringing in our minds when we recently visited Besos, 59 No. Santa Cruz Ave.
Here we found super friendly owner Gail Gerbode assisting loyal customer Vanessa Blumberg with her shopping needs for lingerie and sleepwear.
Why the tune? Well, let's just say the clothing lends itself to affection ... to oneself and between loved ones, particularly partners.
The store is catered to women who like to look good even when nobody is looking, or perhaps when those closest to them are indeed paying attention to their night wear.
According to its website, the store, which opened in 2008, seeks out lingerie and sleepwear that "are beautiful, seductive, and remarkable in their ability to transform and accentuate the femininity of our clients."
Its lines come from Colombia, South Africa, Canada, Germany and the USA and include Affinitas, Anita, Blush, Claudette, Ellipse, Jenna Leigh, NK imode, Lisa’s Folly, Ruby and Touche, the website said.
