Tree Lighting Ceremony

The Town of Los Gatos and The Los Gatos Community Foundation, Inc. co-host the annual Holiday Tree Lighting spectacular. The Tree Lighting Ceremony at the Los Gatos Town Plaza will be held on Friday, December 2, 2011 begining at 4:00 p.m.

The majestic fir was planted by the History Club of Los Gatos in 1923 and everyone's focus is on the crucial moment, when the Mayor chooses a child to flick the switch to turn on the lights. Immediately following the lighting "Santa" comes to visit and the sing-a-long begins. The annual ceremony provides a family event to "kicking off" the Holiday Season.

Enjoy popcorn, coffee and hot chocolate while watching the spectacular lighting of our Town Christmas tree. The Community Foundation will be collecting toys for their annual Toys 4 Tots toy drive and the Chamber of Commerce will be kicking off the Holiday Carriage Rides which stroll through the downtown area. Be sure to also mark your calendar to attend the Children's Christmas Holiday Parade the next day.
