California residents will now have to pay more to experience "the happiest place on Earth."

Disney has announced that tickets for single-day, one park passes for the Disneyland Resort, which includes Disneyland and Disney's California Adventure, will increase by $5. Prices will be $92 for an adult ticket and $86 for children under 10.

Parking rates for Disney lots will also go up by $1.

"Like any business, we evaluate and adjust our pricing based on a variety of factors. A ticket to our theme parks represents a great value, particularly when you look at the breadth and quality of attractions and entertainment we offer, and the special moments guests experience with our cast," according to a Disney statement.

But it's not just single-day pass holders who are feeling the four-fingered grip of Mickey Mouse on their wallets. Annual pass rates, which are popular among Southern California residents, are also increasing by $20 per year.

Premium Pass rates, which are good for 365-day access to both parks, are now $669.

Southern California passes, good for 215 pre-selected entrance days per year, increased from $329 to $359, and Southern California Select passes, good for 170 pre-selected entrance days per year, increased from $269 to $279.

Many residents are likely to be upset with the increase.

"It's so annoying, like every year they want more money," Joe Mata, an Anaheim resident told the Orange County Register. "It does feel like the park is really trying to phase out the local pass holder, which is a shame because Disneyland is in our city, and is a big part of Anaheim's history. Cut us some slack."
