No Dogs At Los Gatos Creekside Sports Park

A sign at the park alerts the public that no dogs are allowed at 930 University Ave.

The off-leash dog program was postponed in Los Gatos in June to allow town staff to conduct more research, yet emails have begun coming into our mail box with complaints that dogs are being allowed to run loose at the new Creekside Sports Park.

By a unanimous vote, the Los Gatos Town Council voted this past summer to do more research about a controversial pilot plan that would have allowed dogs off leash at two public parks.

A fenced dog park was also under consideration.

The town, with approximately 12,500 households, is said to have conservatively 9,000 canine friends residing within its boundaries.
