Los Gatos Lions Present 'Date Night'

The Los Gatos Lions Club presents its Date Night gala fundraiser at 7 p.m. Saturday, May 18 at Moore Buick GMC, 15500 Los Gatos Blvd., to benefit local charities that  provide mental health and counseling services for children in need.

Last year, more than 350 people attended the event. This will be the club's third such event.

"The Los Gatos Lions Club is committed to making life better for all of our school-age children, especially those who need a little extra support in their mental and emotional well-being," the Los Gatos Lions wrote on their ticket event page.

"Last year, we were able to identify and reduce bullying, provide funding for middle-school counseling support, sponsor suicide prevention clinics and add support to Counseling and Support Services for Youth, or CASSY in providing licensed therapeutic counseling for students, parents, and staff of Los Gatos High School and Fisher Middle School."

A $65 ticket gives participants access to wine tasting from 11 premiere local wineries, food sampling from 11 renowned Los Gatos restaurants, live jazz and a silent/live auctions and raffle.

Some of the wineries pouring will be Burrell School Vineyards & Winery, Cooper-Garrod Estate Vineyards, Fernwood Cellars Winery, House Family Winery, La Rusticana d'Orsa, MJA Vineyards, Regale Winery & Vineyards, Silver Mountain Vineyards, Thomas Fogarty Winery & Vineyards, and Villa Del Monte Winery.   

Some of the restaurants serving will be C.B. Hannegan's, Cin Cin Wine Bar & Restaurant, Dio Deka, Double D's Sports Grille, Forbes Mill Steakhouse, Los Gatos Brewing Company, Los Gatos Meats & Smokehouse, Michi Japanese Restaurant, Palacio, Steamer's Grillhouse and Viva.

There will also be beers and ales from Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. and Los Gatos Brewing Company, coffee from BLVD Coffee, sweets from Chocolate Dream Box, Nothing Bundt Cakes and Gelato from Dolce Spazio.
