Doug Helm (1902-1953) was a history teacher and vice-principal at Los Gatos High School and the football coach from 1927 to 1944.
He explained his coaching philosophy as follows: "The psychology of a football team is about as undecided as a woman's skirt. No matter how much you study it you can never tell what's coming next."
