Gas Line on Los Gatos Blvd Hit, PG&E Making Repairs

A PG&E construction crew before dawn today Wednesday accidentally hit a gas line at intersection of Caldwell Avenue/Los Gatos Boulevard while working on the infrastructure, according to authorities.

For the safety of the public traveling on these roads, the intersection of Los Gatos Boulevard/Kennedy Road/Caldwell Avenue was closed and PG&E is on site performing repairs now, said Los Gatos engineer and Parks and Public Works Assistant Director Kevin Rohani.

It is anticipated that the roadway will be open before noon today, Rohani added.

Traffic detours were set up at dawn and town staff, along with police and other traffic control personnel, have been on site to insure the morning rush hour goes smoothly. "Everything has been orderly," Rohani said.
