A 3.4-magnitude earthquake on the Richter Scale occurred at 10:12 p.m. tonight, Thursday, May 9.
In Los Gatos, four people had left responses on the U.S. Geological Survey's Did You Feel It section.

The quake's intensity was categorized as light and as being 6.6 kilometers deep, or about four miles.
The earthquaketrack.com website gave the temblor's location as being 14 kilometers, or about 8.5 miles east northeast of San Jose in the Mount Hamilton area.

On the Los Gatos Patch Facebook page three readers commented they had felt it and four said they had not:
