1. The Town of Los Gatos is hosting "Screen on the Green," a free family movie night at 7:30 p.m., Friday, Sept. 23 at , 333 Blossom Hill Rd. (Between University Avenue and Roberts Road). 2. Every Tuesday, 4-5 p.m., bring your children, ages 7 and up, to the Children's Knitting Group in the Children's Room of the Los Gatos Public Library at 110 E. Main St. Bring size-8 needles or you can borrow needles at the library. The yarn will be provided for projects that include hand puppets. Beginner runners: Plan to get up early tomorrow for a run with Christine Kennedy, first-place winner of the Boston Marathon in 2009, 2010 and 2011 in her 50+ age group, and co-owner of in Los Gatos. Christine is leading this free beginners running workout at 7 a.m. every Wednesday. The group meets in front of the store at 55 W. 5. The Los Gatos-Monte Sereno Community Garage Sale takes place Oct. 1. On Sunday, Oct. 2, the Town of Los Gatos and will hold its annual Second Chance Day Donation Drive at the Adult Recreation Center, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., to encourage sellers to give away unsold items for local shelters and nonprofit organizations.
