5 Things You Need to Know Today, Oct. 10

Make plans to attend El Camino Hospital's 50th anniversary celebration this coming Saturday at the Mountain View campus.

1. The , 14855 Oka Rd., is inviting the public to its annual free Sukkah decorating party 3-5 p.m., Monday, Oct. 10. The Sukkah is a harvest booth constructed for the autumn festival of Sukkot. Come make decorations and hang them up, bring your Rosh Hashanah greeting cards to hang on a wall, and enjoy a snack in the Sukkah. Snacks and art supplies provided. Everyone is welcome. 2. Good Samaritan Hospital Breast Care Center, 15400 National Ave., suite 200, located in Medical Arts Plaza building (near Mission Oaks), invites the public to its free Breast Cancer Support Group 6-9 p.m., Monday, Oct. 10, Newly diagnosed or ongoing survivors are welcome. 3. Continuum Healing Arts Center, 61 E. Main St., a new business in Los Gatos, will have its ribbon cutting ceremony 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 11. The business offers a unique approach of bodywork massage called "evolution bodywork" along with a wide variety of modalities in the areas of "bodywork therapy" and naturopathic medicine. 4. is celebrating this month the 50th anniversary of its sister site in Mountain View. The hospital officially reached its golden milestone on Sept. 1, but plans to have its anniversary bash 1-4 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 15, at its Mountain View campus, 2500 Grant Rd. The public is invited. 5. The deadline for entries in the 55th annual Dec. 3 Children's Christmas/Holidays Parade is 4 p.m., Monday, Oct. 17. The event is a great family celebration that captures the warmth of the holiday season each year with festive entries, musical wonders and plenty of cheer.
