North 40 project meeting tonight at Calvary Church.

1. Today is a busy day for the town of Los Gatos. From 9 a.m. until noon, the Parks and Public Works Department will host its Community Open House in recognition of National Public Works Week. Tours of the Parks and Public Works Service Center, 41 Miles Ave., will be offered 9-11 a.m. Details: 408-399-5776.

3. The second North 40 Specific Plan public meeting is scheduled for 6-8 p.m. tonight at , Parkside Room, 16330 Los Gatos Blvd. The town's community development department seeks input to develop a specific plan for the area bounded by Highway 85 on the north, Lark Avenue on the south, Highway 17 on the west and Los Gatos Boulevard on the east.  Details:  Senior Planner Suzanne Davis, 408-354-6875 or sdavis@losgatosca.gov.

3. Meet new business acquaintances Thursday, May 19 after work.  will have its May Mixer at Three Degrees Restaurant, 5:30-7 p.m. Winners of the chamber's and the town's photo contest will be announced. $5 for members, $10 for prospective members. 4.  Today is the final day to catch the annual Student Art Show at Louise Van Meter Elementary School's multipurpose room, 9 a.m.-noon. The show is sponsored by Art Docents of Los Gatos. 5. You can put your umbrellas away today. According to the National Weather Service clouds should clear by Wednesday morning.
