1891 Los Gatos Grand Army of the Republic Memorial Day Parade
More than 120 years ago, the Town of Los Gatos held a Memorial Day parade.
The Los Gatos chapter of the Grand Army of the Republic was organized by ex-Union soldiers on July 17, 1885.
The post led Los Gatos Memorial Day observances until their membership thinned.
The last member died March 28, 1937 and the post ceased to exist.
