Letter: Irritated By Mike Honda Town Hall Meeting Spam Call

Los Gatos Patch would love your 300-word letters to the editor.

A month ago I wrote to Congressman Mike Honda asking if something could be done about the huge increase in spam calls we have been getting lately.

We're on the do-not-call list, but get about three calls a day in violation of that list.

I file a lot of complaints on the Do Not Call Registry website, but nothing ever happens.

I figured Mike Honda might do something about it, so I wrote him. I got a nice note back a month ago saying how important my note was to him and that I would hear more shortly, but heard nothing back until tonight, when I got a spam call from Mike Honda for a town hall meeting. Probably hundreds of Los Gatos residents were irritated with the same call.

Mr. Honda was going to take questions. I thought of a question I could ask him (you can guess what it was), but he never showed up to his own meeting, so I hung up.

I have to wonder if a guy who doesn't understand that everyone hates spam calls, and a guy who ignores complaints from constituents, is capable of representing my interests. I really doubt that he can.

Next time he's up for election I certainly won't vote for him.
